Gracie Barra Washington, MO takes on a deep-rooted approach to the Jiu Jitsu Martial Art and child development. We’re not a belt factory, we won’t have your child memorize a series of katas and forms just so they can get a new belt every week. That’s not Gracie Barra. We want your child to learn real jiu jitsu while also developing important and integral character values that they can use and rely upon everyday.
Teaching Defensive Skills
Our team wants to teach the highest standard of Jiu-Jitsu possible while also working with parents in developing strong, confident, respectful, and healthy boys and girls who will become excellent people who are good to their communities.
Our Children’s Program is divided into two age groups comprising of (4-6yrs of age) and (7-9). These age groups allow our instructors to provide a better instructor to student ratio, and also structure the classes to be more age-appropriate for each group. These classes focus on all the important skills that a martial artist will need, such as listening skills, physical fitness, and also teach bully prevention so that your child will be able to defend themselves and their friends. Our school also offers competition preparation for children that wish to do so. Competitions are never mandatory and are always a choice.
